Mrs Bruen
Dear Madam
Several months I had a letter from your husband asking me to find out if I could a look containing the History of Family in Charlie Co Engled* in which was an account of his family. I found it and a few weeks ago I had it copied and sent it to him at Fort Hamilton New York. As I have not heard from him I fear that it was directed wrong. Please inform me of his Address.
Truly yours
Wm Schouler
Carrie Thompson called today to see * and Mary, As Mary was out at * I entertained her myself, She had only a few minutes to stay, and as I was just starting on my usual visit to your house I took her with me, She gathered a Bouquet from thy flower beds and desired her "best regards" She does not look well, is very thin in flesh and seems rather sad
*As me* Mother
Tell me how to direct my letters, To Augusta To Howard To Luther I believe I know, at least if this is right
Mother
Ask Luther if he expects his papers to come to Dayton still. Even his N.Y. papers come yet, would it not be well to see to it, And the Dayton Journal is still thrown into the yard. What shall be done?
