Camp near Falmouth V.A.

Dear wife and children
I rc'd a letter from ye yesterday which gives me great pleasure to here that ye war all in good health and enjoyed the Crismas and I hope ye will also enjoy the new year.
I main to let ye now that I am in good health thanks be to God for his blessing to me. I rc'd 5 stamps and l dollar in the letter and only that I did I could not write for ther is nothing here that can be got.

Dear wife
I hope you will write to me when ever you feel like it for I do not have a chance to writ at all times and I do [feel to hom] when I receive your letter. I also got orders to move our camp while I was writing those few loynes and as swoon as we get to our destionation I will write. I will conclude by sending ye all my love.
