February 13, 1864
Dear Mary
I have rec'd your letter tonight which gives me great pleasure to here that you and mother and sister Marthure and Margret and brother Johnney was in good health as the departure of this leaves your father in at present thanks be to God for his blessing to us all. Dear daughter I hope you will by some good close for that 25 dollars I sent you

and I also send you 10 dollars more in this letter to Marthure to back up what you [---] and I also told you to let me now if you had anough to do you. Now I hope that you will make better [remarks] and let me now how much money you do want to get a good outfit for you and Marthure and Margritt for I calculate to take ye to Washington or to Callinifornia after I get home.
And if you are getting out of the [D---] School before I get home write and let me now

and I will send you money anough to go to a high school. I main to inform you that I won stop only as shot as I can here for I wat to see ye once more.
Dear Mary
I request of you to let me now if I have said anything out of the way to mother for I will send her back her compliment by the return of post and I hope the class is good anough for her and if she don't like the [C---] she will plase to let me now in the ans of this letter.

I hope you will receive those few and answr as soon as you received it.
Good night Mary and Marthur and Johnny and Margrit is my love and my harts delight. Good night Mary I hope you will do as I tell you.
