Dear wife
I sit down with pleasure to write those few loinis to you and children hoping it will find ye in good health as the departure of this leaves me in at present thanks be to God for his blessing to us all.
I main to inform you that I got a letter from you on the first day of ins. and one from Mary on the 4 of ins. but I have not got the box as yet. It must be lost or stole or the direction was not right for the Express.

that left Boston on the 26 it got hire on the 2 day of this month. I do not see what I can do about it for I am 12 miles from the Express office and I can not lave Camp to stay so long. You are better see about it in Boston.
And when you ans. this let me now what articules was in it. I have not much to say at present but I hope ye won't be uneasy about me.
Give my love to the childrn hoping that I will see ye shortly.

I shall keep the receite for a few days more and if I don't get it I will send it back. Tell Johnny that I will try to go hom this winter and by him a sled.
